Password Manager

What is a password manager?

A password manager is a tool for, as you may expect, storing and generating secure passwords. This can be helpful for keeping your logins organized and in one place. Most modern password managers will integrate with your desktop or mobile device for autofill.

Why use a password manager?

Chances are, you have heard of some data breach on a major company, but if not you can find a list here. It can also be useful to check if your email address has popped up in any leaks and any other associated data. This can be done here.

If your email shows up in any breaches along with your password, there is a good chance that bad actors will try that email / password combination on many sites hoping to get in. This is why it is paramount to have strong, unique passwords (and email addresses – but we will get to that later).

A password manager will allow you to create strong, unique passwords without having to memorize them.

Email Aliasing

Unique email addresses can be used in the same way unique passwords are. There are services out there (like Proton Pass)that will allow you to generate unlimited aliases that point to your main inbox.

By using aliases you can be sure that if one alias is leaked, it does not affect your other accounts. Please see the contact page to learn more.
